This was the third breast cancer control forum organized by the Society in Brazil. The goals of the forum are to strengthen local breast cancer control policies by promoting comprehensive strategies and enhanced civil society participation. 

During the forum, the 70-plus participants debated key barriers to care and developed recommendations to improve access to and quality of early detection, diagnosis, treatment, and palliative care. The forum included representatives of the Brazilian Ministry of Health, state and municipal secretaries of health, leading public and philanthropic hospitals, academic public health experts, and NGOs, providing an unprecedented opportunity to highlight and address the growing impact of breast cancer in Bahia and the need for more concerted and organized action to strengthen early detection and treatment.
