Washington, D.C. — The American Cancer Society (ACS) and World Lung Foundation (WLF) today release the video "How Much is a Life Worth? The Truth About Tobacco" which sheds light on the global tobacco burden and devious tactics employed by the tobacco industry to addict new users. This video also reveals how much the industry profits per tobacco death. The production highlights data from The Tobacco Atlas, 4th Edition, published by ACS in partnership with WLF.
The Atlas is also available in a new mobile application, which automatically launches when you visit TobaccoAtlas.org on your mobile web browser. This video and mobile application launch today at the National Press Club in Washington, DC, during a global tobacco panel discussion co-hosted by ACS, WLF and the World Bank. Help us spread the truth about tobacco by sharing this video with friends, colleagues, and via social media using the hashtag #TobaccoAtlas.
